Third District COVID-19 Arts Relief Program Distributes Funds
(Santa Ana, Calif.) — Orange County Supervisor Donald P. Wagner is pleased to announce that $500,000 in grants is being allocated from the Third District COVID-19 Arts Relief Program. The program awarded grants to arts-related businesses and nonprofits suffering financial hardship due to COVID-19.
"The arts are vital to maintaining a vibrant community. It is an honor to help people working to overcome the impact of COVID-19,” said Supervisor Wagner. "Arts organizations are particularly vulnerable because live performances require social gathering, which is not possible under a lockdown. We hope the grants help these cultural resources stay in business for our County's good. I look forward to their reopening and to them continuing to enrich our lives, the lives of our children, and our communities."
Financial aid will go through the OC Arts and Culture Resilience Fund, a COVID-19 relief fund for artists and arts organizations launched by Arts Orange County.
Arts Orange County is the County of Orange's official nonprofit arts agency, supported by the Orange County Community Foundation, and managed by Charitable Ventures.
Grants have been awarded to organizations and companies located in the Third District and its unincorporated areas.
