OC Supervisor Don Wagner Matches Family Reward: Wagner, Local Businesses and District Attorney Todd Spitzer Secure Matching Grants

GrantsTotal reward is now $250,000 to arrest and convict Aiden Leos’s killer

(Santa Ana, Calif.) — Yesterday, Supervisor Donald P. Wagner held a press conference to double the Leos’s $50,000 reward, bringing the amount to $100,000. Supervisor Wagner’s message inspired his colleagues and the business community to match his reward, eventually bringing the new total reward to $250,000. Six-year-old Aiden Leos was fatally shot in Orange on his way to school in Yorba Linda; both cities Supervisor Wagner represents.

"Aiden’s killer will be held accountable for this atrocity,” said Supervisor Wagner. “I led this effort for the community to get behind and I’m grateful my colleague, Supervisor Katrina Foley, agreed to add another $50,000. I want to thank District Attorney Spitzer and our businesses for each bringing $50,000 to the table. Please come forward if you have any information or know someone who may have information that could crack this case."

District Attorney Todd Spitzer secured one of the matching $50,000 donations to help catch the murderer. “I want to thank Supervisor Wagner for tripling the reward amount. We are sending a strong message to violent criminals that their heinous acts and senseless rage will not be tolerated and will be met with an outraged community to see justice is served,” said DA Spitzer.

After viewing Supervisor Wagner on ABC7 News, several business owners in Supervisor Wagner’s District secured another $50,000.

Bea Reyes, representing the businesses owners, works for Ben’s Asphalt as a creative director and said, “As Orange County residents, our wives, husbands, and children drive the 55-freeway every day. From the bottom of our hearts, we send our condolences to the Leos family. We hope our $50,000 contribution sees that justice is done.”
